Where Is My Hardware Usable?
Understand where StayPut gateways and door sensors can be used.
StayPut hardware comes in two radio-frequency versions, and each works in a different set of countries. Order the version that matches where your trips go.
The Two Frequency Versions
| Version | Where it works |
|---|---|
| US915 MHz | 15 countries in North and South America, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico |
| EU868 MHz | 72 countries, including most of Europe |
The full country lists are on the Purchase Hardware page under Frequency Coverage.

Choose the frequency based on where you’ll use the hardware, not where it ships. Using the wrong frequency results in non-functional devices, and all devices at one location — gateway and sensors — must be on the same frequency.
Certification
Standard StayPut hardware is certified for North America. Region-approved variants for other markets are available on request with a longer lead time. If your destination isn’t in the country lists, contact support before ordering.
Connectivity
The gateway connects over cellular LTE with an included SIM card, so it works at any hotel with cellular coverage — no hotel Wi-Fi, guest-network passwords, or IT involvement needed. Door sensors talk wirelessly to the gateway, not to the internet, so they need no network of their own.
